Employers are still obligated to grant paid time off to employees diagnosed with COVID-19 and necessitating work absence due to quarantine or isolation directives. The legislation has been extended until July 31, 2025.
As a reminder, employees need to provide a positive PCR test to prove the diagnosis of COVID 19. As per the most recent guidance, there is no longer a need for a 5-day isolation and employees can come back to work when they are fever free for 24 or more hours and they feel well enough to resume normal activities.
Effective Date: July 31, 2025.
